The TechBA Program (Technology Business Accelerator) created by the Mexican Ministry of Economy and by FUMEC provides direct support to the innovative Mexican companies with a high growth potential so that they can compete in the main global markets.
A key element of the TechBA Programa is the selection of environments with a high innovation potential, such as Silicon Valley in California (2005), Austin in Texas (2005), Montreal in Québec (2006), Parque CientÃfico de Madrid in Spain (2006), and Michigan in the USA (2008). In each region, TechBA becomes a partner of renowned organizations with successful results in the acceleration of highly innovative companies.
In the case of Madrid, TechBA has also received support from important organizations, such as Invest in Spain, CDTI, ICEX, Promomadrid, Ceprede, and the Autonomous University of Madrid.
Throughout the TechBA Program acceleration process, the companies receive the necessary support in order to consolidate their products or services in new markets. As a result of this process, the companies quickly increase their value and they actively participate in global technological business markets.
In order to guarantee the quality and preparation of the companies that are part of the TechBA program, the Mexican Ministry of Economy and FUMEC organize an annual selection process, where a committee, made up by business and technological innovation experts, as well as international and Mexican investors, assess the submitted proposals in order to select the most competitive ones.
Thanks to this program, the Parque CientÃfico de Madrid has become the first accelerator of Mexican companies in Europe, benefitting more than 100 Mexican companies since the agreement was signed in 2006.
