Centro de Iniciativas Emprendedoras (CIADE) [Enterprising Initiative Center]
The Centro de Iniciativas Emprendedoras (CIADE) [Enterprising Initiative Center (EIC)], from the Autonomous University of Madrid, emerges to promote and boost in the university environment the values of venture, self-employment, technology transfer, and knowledge from the university towards society, in order to contribute to local development.
CIADE's daily work is based on four main pillars: awareness, entrepreneur training, aid in preparing the business plan, and technical assistance once the company is formed. These actions have allowed CIADE to detect and assess the entrepreneurs in the first stages of the business idea, where they turn from researchers into entrepreneurs and business people, helping to create more than 150 companies from which 63% are based on technology.
CIADE cooperates with the Parque CientÃfico de Madrid in the first creation stages of technological companies.
Afterwards, the Park provides space, development, and services to these entrepreneurs who have become companies. As a result of this cooperation, around 40 technological companies incubated in the Park have previously received the services from CIADE.
In addition, the PCM participates as a cooperating agency in the CIADE Award for the University Entrepreneur, granting an award consisting of six months of free housing at its company incubator for the best innovative project.
Compluemprende
Compluemprende is the University Entrepreneur Department from the Complutense University of Madrid, which provides direct assistance to college students that want to start their business initiative.
Since opening in 2007, Compluemprende has received more than 700 requests in relation to guidance and advice about the creation of companies and enterprising skills, which have materialized in personalized meeting and simulation tutorials of company creation, and the preparation of business plans, assisting around 455 entrepreneurs.
Also, Compluemprende is in charge of the operations included in the agreement signed between the UCM and the Women and Labour Department from the Community of Madrid for the development of the Entrepreneur Campus, in order to promote the enterprising development of the college students of Madrid.
Compluemprende cooperates with the Parque CientÃfico de Madrid, offering to its entrepreneurs an excellent place where they can develop their activity once they become a company.
