LOCATION

The PCM’s buildings and laboratories are dispersed throughout both the Park’s own locations and the facilities of its promoting universities, encompassing
a broad area of Madrid.

HEADQUARTERS AND INCUBATOR I

Incubator I is located in the headquarters of the PCM’s central offices, in the Cantoblanco Campus. It has ten premises from 10 to 12
m2 each.

INCUBATOR II

Incubator II is located in Tres Cantos. It has 10,500 m2 and is the Incubator which concentrates most of the activity concerning business development. The Tres Cantos headquarters provides premises, workshops and laboratories for the PCM’s associated businesses, where they can develop their activity, with premises from 20 m2 to 200 m2, according to their specific needs. Businesses are divided into different floors, according to their sector of activity in order to promote synergies between them.

INCUBATOR III (CLAID Building)

In 2007, the PCM begins the construction of the CLAID building (Laboratory Support Centre for R&D), on a site allotted by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, which will be finished by mid 2009. With a total surface area of 8,500 m2, the CLAID building will have six floors, two of them underground, with 32 laboratories, 45 premises for new
technology based businesses, as well as 140 parking places.

BIOINCUBATOR I

The Bioincubator of the PCM is located in Tres Cantos. It is the first and only business incubator specifically designed for the Bio sector in the region of Madrid and has been created with the purpose of increasing the chances of success of this type of businesses, where an important investment is required in order to set them up. Since it opened in June 2006, the number of Bio businesses in the Park has increased 340%. By December 2008, 28 biotechnology businesses from the sectors of human and animal health, environment, pharmaceutical technology and industry, chemistry of natural products and agrofood occupy the 3,625 m2 of this Incubator. There are different forms of location in the Bioincubator, including individual and shared laboratories according to businesses’ stage of development. Furthermore, the scientific equipment and premises are shared, and businesses can count on the PCM’s laboratory technicians in the preparation of their experiments.
